Getting Started at Golden View Learning Center

Starting ABA therapy can feel overwhelming, but at Golden View Learning Center, we guide families through every step of the process. From submitting the initial request to beginning services, our team ensures a smooth, supportive experience. The entire process typically takes 4–8 weeks, depending on your availability and insurance approval timelines. 

• A Brief phone call to discuss your child's needs and verify insurance.
   

This step ensures your child’s assessment and future therapy sessions are covered and medically authorized.

To begin, we need your child’s diagnostic report and insurance member ID. Once we receive these, we submit a request for initial assessment authorization to your insurance company.

• Typical insurance response time: 7–10 days
   

This step ensures your child’s assessment and future therapy sessions are covered and medically authorized.

Once authorization is received, we will schedule your child’s BCBA-led initial assessment at one of our San Diego County centers. This evaluation is the foundation of your child's success. During this session, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst will:

• Clinical Observation: Evaluate your child in both structured tasks and natural play settings to see their true potential.
• Caregiver Collaboration: Conduct interviews to align our goals with your family's priorities and daily routines.
• Skill Mapping: Review developmental history to identify specific strengths and areas for growth.
• Tailored Goal Setting: Gather the data necessary to build a 100% individualized treatment plan.

After the assessment, a detailed report is prepared. Once signed by parents, the report is submitted to your insurance company for approval of ongoing ABA services.

• Typical insurance review time: 2–3 weeks
   

This ensures that your child’s individualized treatment plan is authorized and meets insurance requirements.

As soon as your child’s services are approved, Golden View Learning Center will contact you to coordinate your child’s therapy schedule.

• Depending on your availability, services can often start as early as the following Monday.
   
• Sessions are tailored to your child’s goals, needs, and family schedule.
