Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) - Center-Based ABA

This position is based at our Escondido center

Full-time (30-40 hours/week) and part-time (20-25 hours/week)

Schedule

Our center operations from Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm. AM shifts are from 8am-12:30pm. PM shifts are 11:30am-4pm and FT shifts are 8am-4pm.

Pay Range

$21-$25 per hour

Job Description

At Golden View Learning Center, we are dedicated to providing top-quality services.  GVLC focuses on providing effective and ethical treatment in order to help children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and developmental levels reach their full potential. As an RBT you will be implementing ABA therapy to children guided by an on-sight BCBA. 

Responsibilities

  •  Provide 1:1 behavioral therapy to children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder as well as other developmental delays.
  • Implement social, communication, play, and daily living skill goals in a fun and engaging way.
  • Work with Clinical Supervisors (BCBAs) to run programs implemented in the client’s treatment plan.
  • Recognize client improvements and progress to note to caretakers and Clinical Supervisors.
  • Objectively collect data throughout daily sessions
  • Excitedly communicate positive feedback to clients as well as reinforce their progress
  • Maintain respect and confidentiality for all clients.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and organized environment.
  • Be creative, and most importantly, HAVE FUN!
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  •  High School Diploma
  • Must obtain RBT credential within 90 days of employment (don’t worry, we can help you!)
  • Must maintain CPR certification with an in person component (reimbursed)
  • TB skin test
  • Ability to pass a background check (reimbursed)
  • Must be at least 18-years-old with a valid identification
  • Ability to frequently bend, lift (up to 30 lbs), squat, sit, stand, and/or run (with or without reasonable accommodations)

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to run, stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and talk or hear.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus, and ability to see color.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions, human bites or scratches, and maladaptive or aggressive behaviors.  The employee is occasionally exposed to vibration.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
